MMB - Input-Device Hack
© 1988-90 G. Glendown / B. Möllemann
This program solves a problem some users thought 2.0 would already take
care of. But it didn't. So here it is.
WB 2.0 is a nice thing, but it still lacks one thing: a replacement for the
SHIFT-Key when doing multiple selects. With MMB, users of 3-button mice can
now use the middle mouse button as the shift key. Just select an icon,
press and hold the middle mouse button, then select the other icons.
Also, while doing the job, two other features are included: Window to
front/back, and screen to back. While the latter is only of use when still
using 1.3 (2.0 includes it already), the first is also helpful when using
2.0. The following key strokes are used:
Left-Amiga X Window to Back
Left-Amiga Z/Y Window to Front (Z on US-KB, Y on a german KB)
Left-Amiga M Screen to Back (replaces the `standard' Amiga-M)
Removing MMB is easy, too. Just press Left-Shift - Left-Amiga - Right-Amiga
simultaniously. But beware - you'll miss the features !!!
MMB is based on an old InputDevice-Hack, named WinFB, by B. Möllemann,
which survived our Kick-1.2 time (that's programing!!!)
This program is released as freeware and may be copied only on a non-profit
basis. It musn't be used on any german PD disk without getting a permission
from me.
